Here is a couple of the meals/snacks I made up yesterday with all my food prep from Sunday. In the morning when I first got up I had my shake with protein, pumpkin and spinach, then after work I had my first 2nd breakfast which was my breakfast bowl, (recipe on the blog) snack was my apple noodle fruit salad pictured above. Lunch, also pictured above, was a turkey burger with avocado, and mustard, wrapped in lettuce and about 1.5 cups of broccoli.I had a yogurt, protein shake (after working out) and some almonds, then for dinner I had half of a steak we had prepared on Sunday, a slice of the grilled pineapple and 1.5 cups of zucchini/yellow squash.
I felt pretty good today, got in a lot of water and really felt like I had the energy to get everything done I needed to. I also felt a lot more stress free since I didn't have to worry about what I was gonna make for dinner! Meal prep is a life safer guys! It can be a pain at first and yes it takes a while but think about how much time you get back during the week when you don't have to worry about meals! To me one day a week of cooking vs. 7 days of trying to figure it out is totally worth it!
